walking & talking (2003)

An installation consisting of video, wall-based artworks and books, Walking and Talking is a compendium of Henry’s multi-decade project of observing and recording strangers on the streets of New York City. Various recording techniques are integrated into the layering of sound, image and movement. On a background of silhouetted pedestrians is a framed scaled-down image of the composition suggesting pattern in the multitude and order within chaos.
